Over the past six months, I had the privilege of accompanying a group of brilliant talents in the health industry during the first round of the Advanced Management Program for Health Businesses. Today was their graduation day, and we had planned a panel on policymaking and influencing the health industry for this occasion.
First, Dr. Farzad Pirooian spoke about the structure of a good and equitable health system and examined Iran’s position in terms of having such a system. Following that, Mr. Nasser Riyahi presented his views on leveraging the potential of the private sector within the health system and how the private sector can contribute to implementing the broader policies of the health system. The panel concluded with remarks by Mr. Rahbar, who discussed the role of elites in the development process within the industry.
Learning from the lived experiences of these esteemed mentors created an enjoyable hour for both me and the students. I hope I will have another opportunity to attend future sessions of the Takapo School again.
Thank you!
